Lol Miner: Download, Settings and Commands for Binance Pool

GitHub:

lolMiner is a multi-algorithm Ethash/Equihash/Beam & Grin miner optimized for AMD mining (OpenCL based), however, it will also work on most Nvidia cards (GPUs), but speed and stability may vary greatly.

lolMiner 1.22 - 1.24 are Linux-only releases that focus on improving zombie mode performance in Linux-specific code. Thus, version 1.21 released yesterday will remain the latest version for Windows. Miners who do not have a map that uses zombie mode can safely ignore this update - it will behave identically to 1.21. Bug fixes (since version 1.24)

Fixed an issue where the amdgpu driver would frequently report VM_CONTEXT1_PROTECTION_FAULT_STATUS on startup. Fractions of defects fixed and incorrect messages have a frequency when running with fixed parameters -zombie-tune directly

Changes v1.24

Added (custom) zombie mode cores for R9 290(x) and R9 295 GPUs - per popular request.
Error correction:

Fixed an issue that caused Baffin (RX 450, 460, 550, 560) and Tonga (R9 380 (X)) GPUs to show too high a hashrate and spawn incapacitated in Zombie Mode 1.23. Fixed an issue where ETC mining would not start with more than two 4G GPUs in version 1.23.

Release Notes from the Author:

I've received quite a few requests about issues with Nvidia cards and also asking if I can add zombie mode cores to 4G Nvidias and RX 5500. I have to say I tried, but there are some obstacles that prevented it. I will improve the Nvidia codes in the future, but it will take time to prepare. At the same time, Navi maps for some reason don’t like the zombie setting at all, so they only have the standard zombie mode. Currently I also can't recommend mixing them in rigs where the RX 4xx and 5xx cards are running in zombie mode because it seems to cause the system to freeze from time to time. However, mixing with 8G cards and normal mining is not a problem.

Releasing 1.25 will now (hopefully/barring any immediate bug fixes) take some time. I'm preparing for great news, stay tuned.

Settings

To set up a batch file we need to enter three commands:

  1. set “POOL=eu1.ethermine.org:4444” - specify the pool address
  2. set “WALLET=0x360d6f9efea21c82d341504366fd1c2eeea8fa9d.lolMinerWorker” - specify the wallet address and farm name (any)
  3. lolMiner.exe —algo ETHASH —pool !POOL! -user !WALLET! timeout 10 - leave the standard launch command and algorithm.

This is what the lolminer batch file for eth will look like:

@echo off setlocal enableDelayedExpansion Rem ################################# Rem ## Begin of user-editable part ## Rem ################################## set "POOL=eu1.ethermine.org:4444" set "WALLET= 0x360d6f9efea21c82d341504366fd1c2eeea8fa9d.lolMinerWorker" Rem ################################# Rem ## End of user-editable part ## Rem ################################## lolMiner.exe —algo ETHASH —pool !POOL! -user !WALLET! timeout 10

Body file for Nicehash

lolMiner.exe —algo ETHASH —pool daggerhashimoto.eu-west.nicehash.com:3353 —user 3HHG3zpxP4AmbKDR9iRy1c2bqAb4WKhNwm.worker —tls 0 —ethstratum ETHV1 pause

This is the second, easier way to specify a batch file:

And the transcript:

  1. lolMiner.exe - the name of the program that will be launched
  2. —algo ETHASH — name of the algorithm
  3. —pool daggerhashimoto.eu-west.nicehash.com:3353 — specify the pool address and its port
  4. —user 3HHG3zpxP4AmbKDR9iRy1c2bqAb4WKhNwm — indicate the wallet address from NiceHash
  5. .worker - after the dot we indicate the name of the worker (any name)
  6. —tls 0 — specify the TLS type (leave 0)
  7. —ethstratum ETHV1 — specify the Stratum protocol type

Ready example:

lolMiner.exe —algo ETHASH —pool daggerhashimoto.eu-west.nicehash.com:3353 —user 3HHG3zpxP4AmbKDR9iRy1c2bqAb4WKhNwm.worker —tls 0 —ethstratum ETHV1

Mine ZIL and ETH or ZIL and ETC on different pools

Typically, when mining ZIL, you need to mine ETH on the same pool or rely on the pool proxy mechanism implemented by the pool. The former case limits mining to a single pool, while the latter may have the disadvantage of worse ETH mining latency or pool forwarding instability. lolMiner 1.32 has improved the ability to work around this situation by adding a second stratum connection that will take your ETH (or ETC) shares and deliver them directly to the pool you want, while ZIL shares will be sent during ZIL shard epochs to the ZIL pool .

To configure, follow these steps:

  • a) Set up your ETH or ETC as usual. In case you want to use ETC+ZIL, select ETCHASH as the algorithm parameter.
  • b) Add the --dualmode zil --dualpool pool_of_zil --dualuser data_for_the_zil_pool --dualpass password_for_the_zil_pool option to the command line arguments or additional user options. Replace pool_of_zil, data_for_the_zil_pool and password_for_the_zil_pool elements here with your desired ZIL mining credentials.

The miner will now create both connections at startup, but will mine shares of ETH (or ETC) on the main connection, and will mine ZIL on the secondary connection.

Video card hashrates on lolMiner

We tested Nvidia video cards on lolMiner. The results are as follows:

  • Nvidia GTX 1060 - 15 sol/s;
  • Nvidia GTX 1070 - 23-25 sol/s;
  • Nvidia GTX 1070 ti - 26 sol/s;
  • Nvidia GTX 1080 - 21-24 sol/s;
  • Nvidia GTX 1080 ti - 40 sol/s.

The hashrate is really unstable. It is better to use lolMiner for its intended purpose - that is, for AMD video cards. Here are the hashrates for “red” video cards.

  • AMD Radeon RX 480 4 GB - 15-16 sol/s;
  • AMD Radeon RX 570 - 14.5-15 sol/s;
  • AMD Radeon RX 580 8 GB - 16 sol/s.

An important point: usually it is most profitable to mine Ethereum and Ethereum Classic on AMD video cards. Sometimes other coins appear (like ZelCash), but Ethereum for AMD cards is a win-win option. The 2CryptoCalc calculator will help you choose the most profitable cryptocurrency at any time.

Most popular cryptocurrencies can be mined on the 2Miners pool. Now more than 60 thousand people are engaged in this.

What is lolMiner

lolMiner is a miner that supports Equihash and Cuckatoo algorithms. The program is developed for “red” video cards, that is, from AMD. Most “green” cards from Nvidia are also supported, but the stability and speed of lolMiner on them is questionable. The developers themselves warn about this on the project page on the BitcoinTalk forum.

As elsewhere, developers do not work for free. The commission is 1 percent, that is, per day your equipment will work for the software creators for a little more than 14 minutes. The PhoenixMiner miner has a rate of 0.65 percent, but it is positioned as “the fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with the lowest commission.” And indeed it is.
