How to properly assemble a farm and mine on MinerGate

by kriptinfo November 3, 2017

So, have you started mining? Have you downloaded all the programs for work, downloaded nicehash miner, launched it, and it doesn’t see the video card and processor? What to do? Everything is lost?

In this article we will look at the following problems:

  • nicehash miner does not see the video card;
  • nicehash miner does not see the processor;
  • nicehash miner does not see the video card and processor.

Let's figure out why all this can happen, where such problems and errors come from.

Eliminating mining errors associated with incorrect installation or configuration of video cards

When setting up and operating mining equipment, various errors often occur.

This article discusses typical errors that occur during mining due to incorrect assembly of mining rigs or due to software errors.

Hardware errors leading to incorrect operation or absence of video cards in the task manager

At the hardware level, some common problems lead to errors in identifying video cards or to their constant crashes during operation. These include:

In all cases related to troubleshooting in the operation of electrical and radio equipment and computer equipment, you must remember that:

THE MAIN CAUSES OF MALFUNCTIONS IN ANY ELECTRICAL DEVICES ARE THE PRESENCE OF EXTRA OR LACK OF NECESSARY CONTACTS.

Software errors related to video cards leading to miner failures

If the operating system is configured incorrectly, driver installation fails, miners are incorrectly configured, or overclocked, errors occur, resulting in a failure to launch the miner program.

Errors caused by incorrect driver installation

As a rule, in mining farms with several video cards the following errors occur due to incorrect installation of drivers:

Error code 43 usually occurs when installing new drivers on the system, which the system itself can do during automatic installation of updates. In addition, drivers can be lost due to power failures, errors on the system media, exposure to viruses and other problems.

After such an update, error 43 may appear, and the hashrate of video cards may drop significantly. For AMD video cards, after installing the drivers, you need to use AMD-Compute-Switcher, and for Nvidia video cards, enable P0 state according to the method described in the article “Optimizing the consumption of Nvidia video cards during mining.”

If after applying the patcher and mod (for Windows 7) and rebooting the system, the error does not disappear, then perhaps the wrong BIOS was flashed on the video card, there was a failure when writing it, or the BIOS chip on the video card has failed. To resolve this error you need to:

If it is impossible to restore the working state of the video card by flashing the correct BIOS or switching the BIOS switch to reserve, you need to change the BIOS chip in a service center, or look for another cause of the problem.

Errors in miner configuration when specifying video cards

This type of error occurs when there is a missing or incorrect indication in the batch file to start mining of the video cards that should carry out the mining (both AMD and Nvidia).

For example, in the claymore dual miner program and other programs from this programmer, the NO AMD OPENCL found error sometimes occurs. It appears when you launch the mining program and indicates that no devices were found that support OPENCL technology. It may have different spellings in different programs, but its essence boils down to the impossibility of finding a device suitable for mining. If there are no hardware errors or problems associated with incorrect installation of drivers, the problem should be looked for in the miner configuration.

This error can also occur in other programs used for mining. For example, in the sgminer program a similar error is called clDevicesNum returned error, no GPUs usable. When starting the miner, a similar message appears:

[02:56:02] Started sgminer v0.1.1

[02:56:02] * using Jansson 2.11

[02:56:09] Specified platform that does not exist

[02:56:09] clDevicesNum returned error, no GPUs usable

[02:56:09] Command line options set a device that doesn't exist

Let us repeat once again that if the required video cards are displayed correctly in the device manager and do not have exclamation marks with error codes, then the BAT file is incorrectly configured. This happens on systems with different types of cards installed on the system (for example, integrated graphics card plus AMD graphics cards, or using AMD and Nvidia GPUs simultaneously and all three types of devices together). As a rule, to eliminate this error, you either need to correctly indicate the numbers of the video cards used in the miner, or indicate which platform (AMD or Nvidia) you need to use.

In sgminer (its various versions and similar programs such as cgminer), on mixed systems you may need to specify the --gpu-platform 1 or 2 option on the command line.

Usually, if the internal video card is not enabled, this miner works without specifying this parameter, but in this case, sometimes you may need to use the —gpu-platform 0 command.

Other errors that cause miners to malfunction

Let's look at other errors that sometimes occur when running mining programs:

WATCHDOG error: GPU hangs in OpenCL call appears when video cards are overclocked, low-quality risers, bad (very long) USB connecting cables. There is no need to squeeze all the juice out of video cards by increasing the frequency of memory and video cores, since downtime caused by overclocking will negate all income from such mining. The hwinfo program, which shows memory errors for AMD video cards, will help you understand where very high frequency values are set:

As a rule, when overclocking the memory, one of the video cards crashes, and when overclocking the core (or very strong downvolting), the computer freezes completely;

Conclusion

Mining requires certain knowledge related to the operation of computer technology and communication networks. This is necessary because knowledge of the basic functioning of radio equipment and communication channels makes it possible to independently understand the causes of problems and understand how they can be eliminated in the most rational way.

Knowing the basics of electrical circuits will help you avoid mistakes associated with placing excessive load on one line (for example, more than one video card per Molex line), which often leads to burnt contacts or failure of risers and video cards.

Understanding Ohm's law will help you avoid problems associated with using adapters from a SATA power connector to a riser, which is guaranteed to lead to burnt contacts and related problems.

NiceHash or MinerGate

For many newcomers to the cryptocurrency space, the “stumbling block” is choosing the right platform. And here the choice increasingly falls on the Miner Gate website and the Nice Hash platform, which are in great demand and constantly compete with each other. Let's briefly look at their features and analyze the differences according to several basic criteria.

Common parameters

The NiceHash service is more focused on the CIS market and is used by residents of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and other countries for cloud mining. Its functions include bringing together sellers of power (hashes) and people planning to mine cryptocurrency. The service was created back in 2014, and its founders are M. Shkoryants and M. Kobal. In 2017, the platform was hacked, and $64 million was withdrawn from it. At the same time, 71% of the stolen funds were returned to the owners.

MinerGate appeared a little earlier - in March 2011. This is the first cryptocurrency mining pool based on CryptoNote, where Bytecoin occupies a leading position. The downside is that this virtual coin is perceived by many as a scam, which raises doubts about the integrity of the platform itself. There is information in reviews that Miner Gate periodically reduces performance and steals hash power from buyers, but these accusations have not been confirmed. By the way, such a reputation did not allow the site to gather over 5.1 million users.

Safety

In any field of activity, important attention is paid to safety. Despite the hack in 2022 and the theft of more than 4.7 thousand Bitcoins, NiceHash developers created additional layers of protection for each transaction. In particular, a 2-channel approach is used, which minimizes the risk of theft. To restore its reputation, the company paid out a third of the lost funds and continues to do so. At the same time, the company’s employees recommend not using a hacked e-mail, setting strong passwords and 2-factor authentication.

As for Miner Goethe, this platform has not been hacked before, but has some “spots” on its reputation (they were mentioned above). Despite some shortcomings and slow response from the support service, people continue to use the service and mine money with it. The software offered to users is closed source. This means that you won’t be able to study it and check for viruses.

Uptime

When comparing the two services, it is important to look at uptime, which indicates greater opportunity for the miner. So, NiceHash does not have official data on this parameter. In comparison, MinerGate has this information open and reports 99.97%, which is an excellent figure.

Available cryptocurrencies

Both services offer a large number of coins to choose from, running on different algorithms. Their number amounts to several dozen, so there is no point in listing everything. The only thing that can be noted is that Nice Hash has a more impressive list. As for the Miner Gate, the list of available cryptocurrencies is also constantly updated. At least from this point of view, there have been no complaints from users yet.

Fees and payment options

The principle of forming commissions in NiceHash has a complex structure, which often causes confusion among beginners. There are commission payments for buying and selling hash, for replenishing a wallet and withdrawing funds from a deposit. Money is transferred to Bitcoin, which can cause difficulties for some users.

In the situation with MinerGate, everything is simpler. Here, for each cryptocurrency there is a single commission, which in most cases is 1%. At the same time, miners have a choice of the PPLNS distribution scheme, which gives large fluctuations in daily payments, but allows them to earn more in the long term. There is also an option with PPS, but in terms of potential profit it loses.

Other nuances

Comparing the Minergate and NiceHash sites, it is worth highlighting a number of characteristic features for users.

Thus, NiceHash offers the following advantages:

  1. Mining on central/graphical processors, which allows you to mine cryptocurrency on your computer.
  2. Profitability calculator with the ability to calculate hashrate and profitability based on current costs for electricity and the purchase of equipment.
  3. Internal storage for cryptocurrency that can be used for internal transactions.
  4. A simple mining algorithm with the ability to simultaneously mine several cryptocurrencies.

Miner Gate has many advantages that set it apart from its competitors:

  1. Smart Mining service, which allows you to count on more income due to automatic switching of the algorithm. This option is useful for novice users.
  2. A multifunctional pool that offers work in nine communities at once.
  3. Regular updates of the service and provision of new products to users.
  4. A service monitor that allows you to control the process of cryptocurrency mining, the status of transfers, balance confirmation, etc.
  5. Monitoring pool statistics to select a more efficient service.
  6. Comparison of the efficiency of the equipment used.
  7. Own loyalty token, which is used to support the EOS network.
  8. Minergate affiliate program, which allows you to earn additional income by referring friends to work on the site.
  9. Lumi wallet for ease of use and security.
  10. Own calculator that allows you to calculate the profitability and efficiency of mining.

There are many critics of cloud mining on the Internet, but there are also those who make good money in this area. This option is a good opportunity to save on the purchase of equipment and use the power of special services. If we compare the platforms discussed above, you can use both, but MinerGate still offers the best performance.

How to use NiceHash with MinerGate

If you follow certain instructions, you can use the capabilities of both services. The general algorithm is:

  1. Register with Nice Hash and deposit Bitcoins into your wallet.
  2. Set up your favorite pools. To do this, go to the “For Buyers” section, then “My Pools” and “Add New...”.
  3. Save the MinerGate pool in the list.
  4. In the Username section, enter the name of the worker created in the pool. UserID is entered here.
  5. Check your pool settings using a special verifier (api.nicehash.com/poolver.jsp).
  6. Place your first order at nicehash.com/marketplace.

MinerGate is not utilizing GPU

MinerGate is not utilizing GPU

Post by Mistfall » Sun Apr 30, 2022 12:33 am

I have recently downloaded and installed MinerGate to mine Ethereum and Monero. Everything works well, the mining does not utilize my GPU.

Simply clicking on the 'play' button to use the GPU will go green for a sub-second and then simply disable. I have even paused/disabled the CPU mining beforehand to try the GPU mining, but this issue still persists.

Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.

Advantages and disadvantages of MinerGate

Efficiency of mining on MinerGate
Like any other service, MinerGate has its strengths and weaknesses. Let's start with the good.

The advantages of the service include:

Simple user interface;

There are many cryptocurrencies available for mining;

Availability of your own software for mining.

Among the disadvantages of MinerGate are:

Low mining profitability;

The calculations of the profitability calculator do not correspond to reality;

Lack of mobile application for IOS;

Anonymity of project owners.

What to do if the miner does not see the card

Hardware problems must be ruled out. To do this, you need to make sure that the operating system recognizes or at least the BIOS correctly recognizes the installed hardware. Go to computer properties and check the list of devices. If there is no “lost” video card there, you need to boot into the BIOS and look for it in the list.

To make sure that the problem is not with the video card, check if it works if you disable the other cards in the rig.

If the GPU is not recognized, check whether the video card is properly inserted into the slot on the motherboard. Often the problem arises when using low-quality risers. Thin wires break and cannot withstand the high current that occurs when the mining rig is constantly running at full power. The power supply may also fail. Its power may be enough for the GPU to “idle”, but not for mining. Try installing a more powerful, known-good power supply.

The system may not see the second graphics adapter due to conflicts with the integrated video card. Therefore, it must be disabled in the BIOS.

The connectors on the motherboard can be checked by swapping the connected GPUs. If another card “disappears”, you need to clean or change the connector or riser.

If there are no hardware problems, you need to look at the programs. Update drivers and mining-related applications:

Important: drivers and libraries cannot be installed “on top” of old ones. This may cause conflicts and software errors. For correct operation, you need to remove the old version and only then install the new one.

To completely eliminate software conflicts, before using the farm you need to install a “clean” system without unnecessary software. Do not use Nvidia and AMD graphics cards in the same build.

Problems arise due to incorrect or excessive overclocking of the chip. Therefore, if problems arise with Nvidia video cards, you need to disable additional software that changes the operating frequency of the chip and memory bus. If you overclocked your AMD card by changing BIOS timings, roll back it to the original version.

If you install multiple power supplies, they may not turn on at the same time. If the motherboard starts up before the video cards, the BIOS will not see the GPU during startup.

How to withdraw funds to your wallet

You go to the Dashboard and click the Output button. After this, you must enter the address to which the coins will be sent.

If you do not specify the amount, then you will be sent ALL coins AVAILABLE for withdrawal. To receive some coins, indicate exactly how many you need in the “Amount” field.

Please remember that the network fee for the transfer, which is indicated in the Network Fee field, will be deducted from this amount. So if you need a round amount, add payment to the required amount and indicate exactly the result obtained in the “Amount” field.

Example of withdrawal of funds

And so we earned a certain amount of cryptocurrency (in our case it is 184 Bytecoin) and want to withdraw it:

To withdraw our coins from the MinerGate project, we will use one of the popular cryptocurrency exchanges, namely Poloniex.

First, we will get the address of our wallet, where we will transfer coins from the project. To do this, find our cryptocurrency on the exchange and click on “Deposit”:

A window will appear in which you need to click on “Deposit Address”:

We will need the operation identifier “Your Bytecoin Payment ID” and the address of the cryptocurrency wallet itself “Bytecoin deposit address”:

Next, go to MinerGate and fill out the withdrawal form:

The transfer is done, you just have to wait about 30 minutes (while several network confirmations take place):

Next, we need to exchange Bytecoin (or other currency) for Bitcoin. Go to the Exchange section on the exchange, then find Bytecoin in the right Markets block by entering Bytecoin (or BCN) in the search. Click on it.

Below the diagram you will see 3 blocks. When exchanging Bytecoin for Bitcoin, we are interested in the block - SELL BCN. This is an order to sell BCN. Click on the number under the phrase You have (the amount on your balance must be at least 1800 BCN), after which the system will recalculate the result from the Bytecoin sale, displaying the total amount and amount of the exchange commission.

If you are satisfied with everything, just click the Sell button:

The amount received from the Bitcoin exchange will be credited to your balance in the system.

If you want to withdraw funds in Bitcoin to an external wallet, simply go to the Balances section, find Bitcoin in the list and fill out the withdrawal form, where Amount is the amount, Address is the address of your Bitcoin wallet.

After some time, the funds will be credited to your Bitcoin wallet.

Errors caused by incorrect driver installation

To correctly install drivers for AMD and Nvidia video cards, we recommend reading the article “Correct installation of GPU drivers for mining,” as well as specialized forums.

Ways to solve the problem

Check system requirements for Nicehash compatibility:

If your processor is weak or there is not enough RAM, you need to:

    remove viruses using Avast, dr.Web or another program; clean and defragment the system disk; remove unnecessary programs that have not been used for a long time; free the startup registry; increase RAM (virtually possible); update drivers for video cards and processor.

Intel EM64T processors under microarchitecture from the first to fifth generation Core i7, Core i3, Core i5 and Intel Xeon are suitable for this.

Nicehash does not work with the video card or does not see the processor

Examples of common OS problems:

Possible problemRemedy
There are 4 GPUs or more, but Windows OS does not see themPerform decoding settings in BIOS for 3.5 G / 4 G and above: Above 3.5 G /4 G Decoding
Energy consumption of graphics cards during mining is inconsistentSet the PCI-E system bus frequency in the BIOS to 2.0 or 1.1.
The combination of a weak processor with a good video card results in:
    to low productivity; CPU overheating; The efficiency of video cards is 20-30% less; software failures

Nicehash does not recognize NVIDIA or AMD video card

Examples of common problems with NVIDIA, when Nice Miner does not see the video card:

Increase the bus frequency through the BIOS, this will help increase power.
If the maximum load occurs, reduce the frequency by 5%. Before overclocking, apply fresh thermal paste to the processor cover
Not enough Virtual Memory - virtual memoryIncrease the swap file.
Such settings should ensure that the file size matches the memory of all video cards.

Unique features of the MinerGate service

This service has its own features that distinguish it from other similar pools:

  • You can mine cryptocurrency through your browser. You don’t need to install any miners, you just need to log into your account and go to the Cloud Mining tab and click the “Start” button there. Done, you have already started mining cryptocurrency. But, of course, the speed of such mining is much lower than through a special program.
  • You can mine cryptocurrency through a convenient program. Moreover, you can mine any of many different cryptocurrencies, you don’t need to install any special miner programs, you can do everything through one program from Minergate, it’s very convenient.
  • In the program from Minergate, there is a smart mining mode; if you enable this mode, the program itself will choose which cryptocurrency is currently worth mining, depending on which cryptocurrency is currently most profitable to mine. You just need to launch the program and select the “Smart Miner” mode, and then it will do everything itself.

You can use mining on the Minergate pool both while constantly working at your computer and during its downtime. If you don’t have a laptop, but a desktop PC, you are unlikely to turn it off when, for example, you go for a smoke break, go out to the nearest grocery store for shopping, or drink coffee in the kitchen with friends who suddenly show up “for a minute.”

As a rule, all this time your car just sits idle. So why not make your PC work even when you're not around? You can use the same principle on a laptop.

Launching a pre-installed miner program takes about 5-10 seconds. And if you have a powerful computer with at least 8 cores, even more so - load 6 cores for mining, and the remaining 2 will be enough for your current tasks or work.

Other errors that cause miners to malfunction

Let's look at other errors that sometimes occur when running mining programs:

As a rule, when overclocking the memory, one of the video cards crashes, and when overclocking the core (or very strong downvolting), the computer freezes completely;

Accrual of rewards on MinerGate

Mining pool on MinerGate
MinerGate users can receive 2 types of rewards:

  1. PPS – a reward is awarded for each share accepted by the pool for mining.
  2. PPLNS – the reward is awarded in proportion to your overall contribution to the mining process.

You can set the type of reward through the “Panel” menu. Here, for each cryptocurrency, the available options for calculating rewards for coin mining are displayed.

Choosing a reward system for Minergate

??

When choosing an accrual system, the MinerGate team advises users with small capacities to give preference to the PPS system, but large miners who want to set up uninterrupted mining can choose the PPLNS system.

All earnings from coin mining are collected in the “Unconfirmed” block. This amount will be blocked for withdrawal until it reaches the minimum threshold, which differs for each cryptocurrency:

  • For Bitcoin Gold – 0.001 BTG;
  • For Zcash – 0.001 ZEC;
  • For Ethereum – 0.000001 ETH;
  • For Ethereum Classic – 0.001 ETC;
  • For Bytecoin – 20 BCN;
  • For Monero – 0.005 XMR;
  • For Monero Classic – 0.001 XMC.

Once the minimum threshold is reached, the amount will be added to the current balance available for withdrawal. The amount of the current balance (confirmed) can be seen next to the name of the selected cryptocurrency. At the same time, the “Total Mined” block displays the total number of coins you have mined over the entire period. This amount includes confirmed, unconfirmed balance and profit from the affiliate program.

General recommendations

When using cards based on the new generation Radeon 500 series ASUS RX560, RX550, RX570, RX580, please note that AMD RX conflicts with drivers 17.12.2 installed during auto-update:

    you need to install the Radeon Software Crimson ReLive 17.11.4 or 17.10.1 kit, after uninstalling the new software through Device Manager; to select and download drivers, go to the official Nv website > to check what cards are installed on your PC and whether the equipment is supported, switch to the Russian version of the site and find the following pages through the search:

If your GPU is below 2.1, then the miner simply will not see it. The previously existing method of transferring the ccminer***exe file version 1.4.0.1 to the directory of the updated miner is no longer relevant, now 1.8.1.10 for AMD and 2.0.1.9 for NVIDIA are available, so it will not be possible to adapt a very old card.

MinerGate pool fees

At the moment, the MinerGate pool offers users two systems for calculating rewards for mining cryptocurrencies: PPS and PPLNS (the commission in them will be different).

In PPS , you will be charged a stable 1.5% commission for withdrawing crypto coins from the service (except for the currencies Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, ZCash). PPS - payment for each completed ball. We advise you to choose this option as it is the most accurate and fair payment method.

For PPLNS the commission is only 1% (except for BTC coins). PPLNS – payment for the last N-ball. To calculate the final reward, the system allocates the average hashrate and rewards the miner depending on the number received. This is why profitability can vary greatly, both positively for the user (+30%) and negatively (-30%).

The user can independently decide which reward system to use. You can switch modes in the “Settings” section.

I would like to note that for beginners who use home farms to mine digital currencies, the best option is the PPS mode with 1.5% commission, which always fairly pays the user for his PC computing power. PPLNS is best suited for owners of large mining farms who want to try their luck at making more profits and paying lower fees.

Cloud mining. Mining via browser

Previously, the following types of mining were available on this platform: cloud and browser-based. In general, the MinerGate service was originally created specifically for cloud mining. Previously, this type of crypto coin mining could be used by clicking on the “Cloud Mining” button. This section could be found on the main page of the official MinerGate website, but now the cloud mining function is no longer available.

Browser mining also proved too expensive for MinerGate to continue supporting, so the developers have removed this cryptocurrency mining option.

Operating instructions

If you don't know how to work as a miner, choose MinerGate. This service is ideal for beginners, as it is incredibly easy to start mining on MinerGate. Not least because the site has Russian language, while other resources work in English. But still, it is impossible to do without guidance for action.

  1. The first step to start working with MinerGate is to register on the resource. Registration here is normal. You can start it by clicking on the green “Registration” button in the right corner of the page. Then enter your email address, create a password and go through verification (confirm that you are not a bot). An email will be sent to you containing a link. Follow it and the system will confirm that the address was correct and authorization will be completed. The interface is standard, the main thing is to select the Russian language before working on MinerGate.
  2. The second step is downloading the program . You need to download it before setting up the Miner Gate for yourself. You can find the program in the “Downloads” section. Although the system will automatically determine which program to install, it depends on the OS. If, for example, you have Windows, then two options will be offered - for a 64-bit and a 32-bit OS. But there are other alternatives, in particular on Mac, Ubuntu, Fedora, etc. Just download the appropriate version. The program will be in the exe file. The installation is the same as for other files of this type. Follow the instructions and the file will install without problems. Set the settings, including choosing the currency you are going to mine. Press mining mode.

  3. Step three - choose which currency is best to mine on MinerGate

    . Choosing coins is a very responsible task. Beginners who are just figuring out how to mine on MinerGate choose bitcoins or other popular cryptocurrencies. It’s just that the payments in these areas are not always good. If you choose a few less popular cryptocurrencies, the chances that the mining will be decent are much higher. To calculate a unit that is successful for mining, compare rates and choose the appropriate one.

Before starting work, it doesn’t hurt to analyze your device. To do this, go to the “Benchmarks” tab (it is located at the bottom of the main page). By clicking on it, you can analyze your device. Here you can see that it is better to mine on MinerGate in 2022, simply focusing on the power of the computer. The system will not display cryptocurrencies that the laptop cannot handle. Although the chosen coin may not suit you. Then choose another one, but the profit will be less.

By the way, if you are looking for how to increase the mining speed on MinerGate, you can try working from several devices. Install the program on several computers, but log in to one account. In this case, productivity will increase and production will be more efficient.

Once the program is downloaded, you can start working:

  1. Log in to the utility. Use the same data that is used to register on the site.
  2. Open the main interface and go to the “View” tab. There, select which currency you will mine on MinerGate. Near the currencies that you plan to mine, there is a “Start Mining” button. There, select the number of cores that will be used exclusively for mining. But it is important not to overload the device, otherwise it will not withstand such intensive work for a long time.

Leave the program running on your computer. No further action is required. Mining will be carried out automatically. And if you need a computer, in parallel with mining you can perform any other operations that are familiar to you, for example, playing computer games, surfing on social networks, etc. The main thing is to adjust the power used, otherwise the system will slow down.

Minergate History and Team

The Minergate team
Very little is known about the MinerGate project team and the company as a whole. The official information says that the service is run by a group of crypto enthusiasts – and that’s all. The desire of companies to remain incognito always makes users a little wary and prompts various discussions and guesses about the roots of the company’s origin. Thus, a common belief is that the MinerGate team is part of the well-known company Changelly, which is trusted by many users. However, these are just rumors.

From the very beginning of its activities to this day, the MinerGate team has pursued a noble goal - to give the opportunity to try mining for every interested user, regardless of their level of knowledge, technical base, experience and size of investment.

The project's roadmap was in line with this goal, so the service began as a browser-based mining pool on users' own hardware, but after some time MinerGate also added cloud mining functionality. At first, this option extended to Bitcoin, and a little later to other cryptocurrencies.

List of supported cryptocurrencies

After the first launch, the program automatically starts mining. Zeal is commendable, but first you should understand the cryptocurrencies that are mined in the program. You can view the list by clicking on the Logs button on the top panel. Alternatively, on the website you can click “Pool Statistics” in the header and see the list of mined coins.

Through MinerGate you can mine popular ETH and ETC, XMR, ZEC and DASH. There are not the most famous AEON and QCN. You can also mine forks like BTG, BCN, FCN and XDN. We advise you to familiarize yourself with these cryptocurrencies, algorithms and hardware hashrates if you decide to discard the MinerGate benchmark and mine something of your own.

MinerGate referral program

Finally, we’ll tell you about the pool’s referral program. This service invites users to participate in its own multi-level referral program. The beginner level implies up to 30% rewards for inviting up to 10 referrals.

The intermediary level starts from 11 and continues up to 30 referrals. Here the rewards already reach 50% . To receive 75% profitability, you need to refer at least 31 participants. In this case, you will become the owner of the title “professional”.
