How to set up Danila Miner

Step 1 - Download the miner

Download the latest version release from the official Danila Miner website.

  1. Go to the Downloads section of the Ton Whales website.

  2. In the list of releases, find and download the latest version for your platform.
  3. Extract the downloaded archive. It's better to use WinRAR to extract the archive.

Step 2 - Set up TON Miner

After unpacking the archive, you need to create new .bat files or edit existing ones. These files will store your launch configuration.

If you want to create a new .bat file, then first create a file with a .txt extension and change it to a .bat extension.

Open the .bat file using Notepad or Notepad++ (it's more convenient). Below is an example setup for the Whales pool. You need to enter the following commands into it:

danila-miner.exe run https://server1.whalestonpool.com EQDDSuYpiMrpLyWLVWuxtDUS_HFokO8uFU6ph9OMPISHipda :_restart danila-miner.exe run https://server1.whalestonpool.com EQDDSuYpiMrpLyWLVWuxtDUS_HFokO8uFU6ph9OMPISHipda goto _restart

After the pool address there is a wallet address - EQDDSuYpiMrpLyWLVWuxtDUS_HFokO8uFU6ph9OMPISHipda.

Instead of EQDDSuYpiMrpLyWLVWuxtDUS_HFokO8uFU6ph9OMPISHipda, just enter the address from your TON wallet. This wallet can be obtained on the official TON Wallets website.

You can download the official wallet on your PC. Or you can use the web version (Web Wallet).

The ton coin address for the miner is as follows:

Register your wallet address in Telegram Bot at: https://t.me/WhalesPoolBot.

Click on the “Run” button. Insert your wallet address obtained in the step above into the chat with the bot.

You will see the inscription: “Congrats! Now you can use tonpool."

Step 3 - Launch the miner

The third step is to run the program.
Attention! Do not run danilaminer.exe. You must run the .bat file.

It is your .bat file that transmits information about your wallet and mining pool to the program.

After running the miner for a couple of minutes, you will see a console window with the hashrate:

You can check the mining statistics on the pool. Insert your TONCOIN wallet: https://tonminingpool.info/.

Mining speed, accepted, rejected speed and shares

Here we will explain how mining works, how NiceHash works, how you get paid and how you can check if your system is fully optimized for mining and running as reliably as possible, and most importantly how to read NiceHash graphs. It will also quickly teach you how to evaluate other miners and compare them to NiceHash QuickMiner.

Why should you use NiceHash QuickMiner instead of NiceHash Miner?

To function fully, NiceHash Miner relies on third-party plugins and miners. In most cases, these are programs of unverified and unknown origin. The real names of the authors of these programs are unknown, or there is no company behind the software. We do not know why the developers of these programs keep their identities secret. The reasons could be different. Most likely the reasons are not to harm the miners because they all charge the developer to use their miner. But we can't be completely sure that they don't intend to ever put anything harmful into their programs. Trusting them blindly would be a big mistake. That's why if you want to use NiceHash Miner, you must agree, confirm and acknowledge it, and if these unknown developers really do something stupid one day, NiceHash cannot be held responsible.

This means that if you use your computer for serious business, have important information or even coins or money on it, it is better NOT to use third-party miners of unknown origin. Luckily, NiceHash created its own miner in the past called Excavator. The code execution is completely developed in-house and NiceHash can guarantee that there is nothing harmful inside. Another lucky factor is that the speeds that Excavator achieves in daggerhashimoto (Ethereum mining) are completely comparable to other miners with devfee, and when you also calculate in devfee, Excavator can be even more profitable than third party miners in most cases.

But using Excavator yourself is not that easy—you need to set up batch files and prepare everything for your machine to work properly. That's why we created another end-user product called NiceHash QuickMiner, which automatically handles all the complex and complicated setup so you just click buttons and don't worry about too deep technical things. Since all the Excavator plus wrapper (QuickMiner) code is created by NiceHash, there is no risk associated with adding anything harmful. NiceHash is a public service run by a well-known company from the EU - Slovenia - H-BIT doo, which means that there are real people behind the software. It's much easier to trust software of known origin because you know that if something malicious has been added to it, there are people who can be held accountable for it.

Now you know the difference between NiceHash Miner and NiceHash QuickMiner. In the end, the choice is yours. You have to ask yourself: Do I want my computer to be completely protected when installing a cryptocurrency miner? If the answer is YES, you should install NiceHash QuickMiner. If you don't have sensitive information on your computer, if you don't really care about any information on your computer being exposed one day, or if you don't care that your computer could be used as a zombie client in a botnet one day or offended for any illegal activity, you can use NiceHash Miner which installs all those risky third party miners of unknown origin. Generally, if you have a fully dedicated mining rig that is only used to mine cryptocurrency and nothing else, and you properly isolate it on your network, you should be fine with NiceHash Miner and third party miners. In any other case, we suggest you use NiceHash QuickMiner. If you have AMD cards and want to keep your PC completely secure, we recommend using the open source ethminer or lolMiner, which is the only devfee miner that is not completely anonymous.

Supported Hardware:

  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1000 series with min. 6 GB of GDDRAM,
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2000 series with min. 6 GB of GDDRAM,
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3000 series with min. 6 GB of GDDRAM,
  • Intel CPUs with AVX2,
  • AMD CPUs with AVX2.

NiceHash QuickMiner contains the latest version of Excavator complete with:

  • watchdog (NiceHashQuickMiner.exe),
  • autostart service (nhqmservice.exe),
  • OCTune and
  • (optional) XMRig CPU Miner (xmrig.exe).

Key Features

  • It ONLY uses XMRig for CPU mining. Excavator is a proprietary miner that is 100% malware-free and . Several other open source C# libraries are used. The code running NiceHash QuickMiner is either developed by NiceHash or sourced from public repositories, which means it is 100% secure and you don't have to worry about exposing your PC's sensitive data or getting infected with malware. NiceHash QuickMiner (future) will NEVER use any closed source software, software of unknown or unverified origin.
  • No tests, you start mining immediately.
  • No third party tools are needed for GPU overclocking. NiceHash QuickMiner has its own powerful and fast overclocking and fan speed tuning tool called OCTune. Find your best overclock easily and quickly like never before with OCTune.
  • Watchdog, which will take care of restarting the mining process in case of failure.
  • Windows autostart methods.
  • Auto. updates.
  • No developer fees. With the PPS (pay-per-share) payment scheme, there is only a NiceHash commission of 2%.
  • Powerful and reliable one-click optimization for GTX 1660 and RTX series cards.

Flaws. Why is it better to use NiceHash Miner or NiceHash OS?

  • NiceHash QuickMiner only mines daggerhashimoto (ethereum). There is no algorithm switching, so there is no chance of an extra payout above Ethereum that may pop up from time to time. The amount of loss depends on your GPU model, but currently it could be as low as a few percent.

Additional libraries and modules used

  • C++ program Excavator entirely made by NiceHash:
  • C# .NET library log4net:
  • C# .NET library managedCuda:
  • C# .NET library Microsoft.Win32.TaskScheduler:
  • C# .NET library websocket-sharp:
  • C# .NET library DotNetZip:
  • XMRig miner() we compiled version 6.7.0 with some changes. The miner is stored in the Excavator, retrieved and launched when needed for CPU mining.
  • The XMRig miner uses the signed WinRing0x64.sys driver. This driver was signed on Saturday, July 26, 2008 by Noriyuki Miyazaki. We do not have a source for it, however we believe that this driver does not pose a security risk at all since it has a good reputation with Microsoft and has been used by various software for almost 13 years.
